"Comfortable, secluded, relaxing place to stay on Lake Erie. Setting is quiet and rustic, with modern accommodations. Give Carole a hug from us! – John Riedesel.

Welcome to Beechwood Acres WNY!

Beechwood Acres…even the name sounds relaxing, doesn’t it? And it fits!

Beechwood Acres is a private residential compound with the added amenities of a beautiful clubhouse, equipped with full kitchen and bath, a guest room on the 3rd floor, and two cottages down on the lakefront. Perfect for small family groups or a few couples, the cottages are remodeled for year round use, each with a gas fireplace and basic kitchen and bath. The “Lakeview” Cottage even has an antique claw foot bathtub and shower!

Why should you come and spend a week or two with us? In a nutshell – for the peace and serenity our place offers. Tired of the fast pace of the city? Come and relax, read a book, take a walk, connect with your family and take a “time out” from the hectic hustle and bustle. Here is an Agri-Tourism location that you can utilize to educate your children about where our fruits and vegetables come from and the wealth of resources we have in our area. Here you will be treated like family and you will learn to love it as we have! We have many fine activities and restaurants in the area to share with you as well.

We are a perfect venue for small groups and organizations to have meetings and retreats. We can accommodate about 30 in our clubhouse, but larger groups in an outside setting. We can host small outdoor weddings in various spots on the property. We have provided links to a large variety of partners of Beechwood Acres to help you to round out your experience with us. We do not personally provide all the services needed, but we have many “friends” who do, and we are happy to share their contact information with you under our “Affiliate” links. You will find our pricing structure under the “Services” heading.

Highlights of Beechwood Acres:
Lakefront is accessible by a stairway to the rocky beach of Lake Erie’s southern shore – the northern boundary of the United States! Lake Erie is lovely, and you can even access our small waterfall and cave from the water itself!
Swimming is at your own risk, of course, as there are no lifeguards provided
.

The grounds include almost 10 acres of concord grapes (usually harvested in the first couple of weeks of October) apple trees, pear trees, plum trees, blueberries, elderberries, wild blackberries and raspberries. We have a small vegetable and herb garden as well. The mature trees and rolling landscape provide a wonderful walk, while you hear birds, squirrels and chipmunks everywhere. Roses of all sizes, colors and intensities adorn the grounds, as well as a tremendous variety of lilies and colorful mums in the fall. Rock walkways and walls are everywhere, a tribute to Christopher Smith, the “Rock Man” as he was affectionately called by his wife. His gardens are a beautiful evidence of his hard work and planning.
